Walk Wheel Cycle Trust

Dave from the Walk Wheel Cycle Trust visited our classroom on Tuesday.  He discussed the different types of transport on our roads and introduced 'Buzz five gears to us.  We learnt more valuable information about road safety and BEING BRIGHT BEING SEEN.

ANGLES

This week we discussed different sorts of angles and then found many right angles in our classroom. We enjoyed exploring the many different right angles around us.

Adobe Winner

Huge congratulations to Ava, who won the Adobe Newsdesk competition! Her infographic entry was chosen out of 1,500 submissions—what an amazing achievement! As a reward, the whole class will enjoy a pizza party. David Huntley recognised the excellent efforts from our class and said there were lots of amazing entries—well done to everyone who took part!

  Halloween Dress Up

Book Week NI 2025

This week was Book Week NI where we were celebrating 10 years of reading together.  We began to read 'The Worst Witch by Jill Murphy'.  We really enjoyed the beginning of the story and are looking forward to continuing this novel after the Halloween break and complete an author study on Jill Murphy.

+-/x Math's Week 2025 +-/x

Last week we have had the opportunity to work with St Louis, Kilkeel for Math's Week along with other schools and complete a Puzzle each day.

Congratulations to Primary 5 &6 who were the prize winners for the Wednesday's competition of the St. Louis math's week challenge.

Well done to all involved.

Maths Week

Our Primary 5 and 6 pupils showed fantastic creativity and teamwork as they designed and created their very own maths games for the younger children in our school. With great patience and enthusiasm, they explained the rules, supported the players, and made sure everyone had fun while learning. It was a joy to see so many smiling faces and such positive interaction across the classes. Well done boys and girls, you made maths magical!
