MADE TO MOVE TOPIC

In our Made to Move project P5 got busy with Mr Hardy. We worked as a team to design and build a small moving car using a variety of materials. The aim was to create a model that could move smoothly while being strong and stable.

First, we planned our design carefully, thinking about the shape, balance, and how the car would move. We chose wood for the frame and axle because it is strong and provides good support. This helped keep the structure stable and allowed the wheels to turn effectively.

For the wheels, we used plastic as it is lightweight and reduces friction, making it easier for the car to move. To strengthen the structure, we used card to reinforce the corners, ensuring the car would not easily bend or break during movement.

During the building process, we tested and adjusted our design to improve performance. We considered factors such as alignment of the axle, stability of the frame, and smooth rotation of the wheels.

Overall, this project helped us develop skills in planning, problem-solving, and teamwork in understanding how different materials affect movement. Our final product successfully demonstrated how different materials can be combined to create a functional, moving model. We all thoroughly enjoyed this experiment.
